Against government restrictions and moral imperative, people all over the world celebrated Halloween by attending large parties. Obviously, most went unnoticed (and unpunished), but celebrities living under constant surveillance should know better than to be irresponsible in times of global crisis.
The Weeknd
Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, surely celebrated his Halloween Weeknd to the best of his Abelities. On a video he posted to his Instagram, The Weeknd can be seen dancing in the middle of a crowded room, in what appears to be a Halloween party.
Although his costume is hilarious and definitely ranks among the best celebrity costumes of this year, the situation on the other hand is unacceptable.
Kendall Jenner
Coincidentally, super-model and reality star Kendall Jenner was also present at the same party as The Weeknd. However, she wasn’t a guest, she was the host! Jenner celebrated her 25th birthday in a hotel in West Hollywood, with some of the biggest stars. Among the invitees were Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, Winnie Harlow, Jaden Smith, and Saweetie. Luckily they all made sure to take some COVID-proof photos to capture the beautiful night.
At the time of writing this, the post has not been removed, but comments were turned off to avoid criticism by fans. This whole messy situation seems very on-brand for Jenner, as she has proven multiple times this year to not care about the risks of COVID.
Kim Kardashian
It’s definitely not the first COVID-scandal in the Kardashian-Jenner clan. Just one week before this, Kim Kardashian was criticized for celebrating her 40th Birthday on a private island in French Polynesia, with guests flying in from all over the US. When the whole country is banned from traveling, it shows that money and fame can do a lot of wonders! In an interview with Ellen, sister Khloe Kardashian defended Kim saying that: “I get that people are frustrated, but it was her 40th birthday”.

Clearly, people are over this whole pandemic situation. And although that is very understandable, I hope they see that COVID is not over us yet. Without a collective solution-based attitude, we will be stuck in this situation for a very long time (thanks, Kendall).
Enough ranting for now. Let’s end this exposé on a positive note with my personal favorite Halloween celebrity costume of 2020. Lil Nas X executed a perfect Nicki Minaj look (while managing to be a decent human being by staying at home and not jeopardizing other people’s health).
