For many of us, waking up in the morning is very hard. Especially, when there is a full day of studies ahead. Most of us start with a cup of coffee; some are strong enough to wake up 10 minutes earlier to cook fast sunny-side-up eggs on a piece of bread. There is usually no time or desire to create beautiful cuisine masterpieces, so we often don’t even pay attention to what’s on our plates.

2,5 years ago I started noticing that food is, in its essence, a very beautiful thing. There are as many color combinations as you can find in the brightest artworks of famous painters, such as Vincent Van Gogh. Similarly, there’s often a ton of colors on your plate. So, why not visually combine the two? That’s when I launched my food x art project ‘Cream-Bryul.love’, which presents the collection of various dishes and paintings.

Easy and colorful breakfast

Now let’s return to breakfast. For me, it is one of the most important meals during the day. It gives a boost of energy and awakens my taste buds. However, I don’t always have the time to make something extravagant that satisfies my gustatory and aesthetic needs.

So, here is my lifesaving recipe (spoiler: no more dull grey eggs on a bread!).

Peel a banana, wash some strawberries, and cut both in a bowl. Then add a handful of crunchy chocolate granola and pour some (almond) milk. Voilà! A breakfast worth a comparison to a masterpiece. A splash of colors and taste. What a nice way to start your day and get inspired by even the smallest things life!
